Jo, what got you into boudoir in Indianapolis?
This is one of the most asked questions for me and honestly its so many layers deep.
I am passionate about my work as a boudoir photographer in Indianapolis. I want women to experience the healing, peace, and joy I found by healing my inner child. Building self-confidence and growing my mindset also helped.
From a young age, I was spoken down to and made to believe I was worthless. The trauma I have faced over my 34 years could fill a book. Actually, it ended up becoming 3 books. You can find those HERE But, the woman you see today is truly the woman little Jo needed. She is the woman that is ready to help other woman because who their little girl needed too.
I faced many tragic and traumatic experiences. But, I learned to control my mind and reaction. This is when my inner child healing began.
With a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work, I witnessed many situations that highlighted the need to advocate for women’s healing, confidence, and safety.
After spending almost 3 years as a Regional Director in foster care, seeing the spinning door of trauma and generational trauma, I decided that I would do my part.
I don’t claim to heal you completely. I don’t think I have a magic wand that will make you feel perfect, but I do know that you wont find anyone who cares on the level I care, or intuitively understands you like I do, whether it’s through my boudoir sessions, podcasts or coaching.
So when people ask why I do what I do? Its for all the women who still have little girls inside them that need healed.
I do it for you. I do it for me. I do it for us.
